The Useless Nanny....

Post by calmage on Thu May 15, 2008 7:28 am

or.. also known as the United Nations..
is seeking to make having enough food a "right"..

So...
It's my right to be well fed.

In that case... I want lower food prices so that I can afford to buy enough food to fulfill my right..
And I want the gov't to make the food industry accountable to making sure I have enough food.

Now..
is that so hard..?? Suspect

What's this..??
Your selling food again..???????

No no...
Your not getting it.

No selling of the grains until we make sure everyone is well fed....

when will that be you ask..??

Who knows...

And I'm sorry...
we have to make sure Canadian citizens are well fed first before we can let you have any grains...

Well.. I know it's your right to be well fed as well...

But I just don't know whose going to fill that right.. No

You say it's a right...?? !!! ???

Well.. we all know that it's a right now..

But we haven't found anyone willing to fulfill that right for you...

So I guess our rights trump your rights...

What ya mean the whole thing is a stupid idea...??????

Don 't you care that we care that you don't go hungry..???

leftoid logic makes me feel a little nutz sometimes..

"What's scandalous is that they are having this session when there are two million people starving because of the natural disaster in [Burma], yet there is no special session on that," noted Hillel Neuer, executive director of UN Watch, which monitors the Council at its Geneva base.

Asked yesterday why the Council had not scheduled a session on the Burma junta's resistance to admitting humanitarian aid, a spokesman for the UN human rights high commissioner said the body already had "a very full program."

yup...

Let's not slam the UN too hard here, after all, they really do know what priorities are. First things first. When a cyclone devastates a country and hundreds of thousands may be dead and millions homeless without adequate shelter, clothing, food or water, they know how to help.

They send condoms.

Seriously.

Boggles the mind.

Bangkok - The United Nations will send nearly a quarter of a million condoms into cyclone-hit Myanmar to help needy survivors with no access to contraceptives, a UN official says.

So far, the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) said it had sent 72 800 condoms to survivors struggling to maintain their family planning after the storm hit in early May.

A total of 218 400 condoms would be delivered, UNFPA aid advisor Chaiyos Kunanusont said.

"We don't want regular use of contraception disrupted. An emergency usually damages the health system, so people don't have access to condoms and contraceptives," said Chaiyos.

It happened this way.

"The people are without shelter or food and water Secretary General."

"Fuck em "

"OK. They will need condoms to do it safely then."

This is an insult. The stupid bugger should go investigate Darfur or Soweto where the Blacks are chopping up Zimbabweans.

But wait. There are no fancy restaurants in Darfur... no 5 star hotels.

U.N. bureaucrat to investigate America
Doudou Diene, a United Nations bureaucrat, will tour eight American cities to investigate allegations of institutionalized racism—and his report may be compromised from the start. Heritage expert Nile Gardiner explained to CNN’s Glenn Beck that “in his mind he has probably already written the report.”

Worse, continues Gardiner, director of Heritage’s Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom, the United States is helping pay for this charade. “I imagine the U.S. taxpayer will be footing a great deal of the bill,” he said.

“It is hard to take the U.N. seriously when its peacekeepers are actively engaged in raping refugees in the Congo and even arming rebel groups, or when it turns a blind eye to the man-made starvation of millions in southern Africa,” Gardiner writes on National Review Online.

“In the arena of human rights, the United Nations has become an emperor with no clothes,” he concludes, “a morally bankrupt institution that wallows in its double standards and appeasement of evil. Doudou Diene’s investigation of the United States should be seen for what it is: a desperate piece of political theater that underscores the U.N.’s growing irrelevance.”

The only thing the UN does is give the semblance of integrity and legitimacy to despicable people doing despicable things to many people.

So.. the Saudi's have finally opened their bulging wallets and have kicked in 500 million to the World Food Fund.

This is after Fox news blasted all over the world that OPEC had given just 1.5 million..

That's 1 minute 10 seconds worth of oil revenue for 2007.

And it's OPEC's refusal to regulate the price that created the food shortages in the first place.. and they had to be shamed to contribute some of that back into the world..

I have no respect for them..

They waited till oil hit $135 a barrel. That way it cost them nothing as had they paid at $125 a barrel last week.

Your right there Z... I'm sure.

Extrapolating from the 1.5mil/1 min 10 sec fact... we now have them contributing 6 hours and 48 minutes of their total revenue for the year of 2007....

That's with the wells pumping 24/7...

And 40 % of Saudi Arabia is on welfare.

May their karma come swiftly...
