good one.

I have a file on my computer here with an icon on my desktop.
I named it ... "when I think I want to be....."

It mirrors what Chuck said.

I have to continually remind myself that accomplishments mean little without people that care about you as a person.

Happy Hump Day!

Maybe all one can do is hope to end up with the right regrets.

Cuz I stored it in the part of my brain that is reserved for brilliant ideas and thoughts.

Now that part is so seldom used the neuro transmitters that service it have withered away. So to be more accurate they are not forgotten but merely inaccessible.

To give people money they haven't earned would only postpone the day when they learn the lesson of self-reliance. There's nothing loving about encouraging them to remain dependant on others.

Janet Dailey, author of story, "Striking a Match", from a book entitled "Flower Girls".

That line jumped out at my wife who was reading the book and she passed it on to me.

Tell that to the Dems and Liberals. The Dems have cultivated a huge Black dependency on welfare which guarantees them the vote.
Here they hand able bodied men cheques for indolence while we now import Jamaicans to work on the farms.
I suppose the Mexicans prefer the USA.

If cease fires in the name of peace actually produced peace the Middle East would be the most peaceful place on earth by now.

Swiped that from this site: http://www.thedonovan.com/archives/2008/05/hussayns_story.html

Our generation, as Danny Kruger put it in the best tract of 2007, is moralistic rather than moral. We are better at holding opinions about what governments or multi-nationals should do than we are at doing the right thing by our neighbours. Having formed our opinions, we become self-righteous in a way that the Irena Sendlers of the world couldn’t understand.

From a couple years ago:

You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America's Cup, France is accusing the US of arrogance, Germany doesn't want to go to war, and the three most powerful men in America are named 'Bush', 'Dick', and 'Colon'.
