I made a long photo slide of my niece's trip to the Okavango delta in the Kalahari desert. Added music etc. Then somehow lost it. Cant find the darn thing. Swiped the pics off her Facebook entry.

An email:

Dear Mr. Harper,

Please find below my suggestion for fixing Canada 's economy. Instead of giving billions of dollars to banks and car companies, that will squander
the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan:

There are about 20 million people over 50 in the work force. Pay them $1 million apiece severance for early retirement with the following stipulations:

1) They MUST retire. Twenty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.

2) They MUST buy a new Canadian CAR. Twenty million cars ordered -
Auto Industry fixed.

3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage - Housing
Crisis fixed.

4) They must send their kids to school / college /university - Crime
rate fixed

5) Buy $50 of alcohol / tobacco / gasoline a week... there's your money
back in duty / tax etc

It can't get any easier than that!

P.S. If more money is needed, have all members of parliament pay back
their falsely claimed expenses and second home allowances.

That sounds too much like common sense. No government will go for it.

Thought for the day:

It's too bloody hot to do anything.

I went golfing yesterday. Dragged my butt around the course. Have to do the same thing tomorrow. I took a couple of Bicks Dills for a 9 hole snack. I figured I would need the salt content. Better than ice cream. Besides that was all I could find in the fridge.
Oh and I took the precaution of freezing 2 liters of cider for electrolyte replacement.

That a lie which is all a lie may be met and fought with outright,
But a lie which is part a truth is a harder matter to fight.

indeed...
One must separate the whole issue into it's truthful and untruthful parts and address each aspect in it's rightful reality...

or...

One could just say "that's 75% bullshit" and just walk away...

Bullshit is like a crumb. You cut a crumb in half, you don't have two half crumbs, you have two crumbs. 75% bullshit is still just bullshit, regardless of the fact that 25% of what the bull ate wasn't digested fully.

A discusion of the under funding of Canada’s Health Care Program and the recently announced drastic cuts to British Columbia’s health care budget, especially for seniors may have come up with the solution.

No doubt you have heard the ideas that if you're a senior you need to suck it up and give up the idea that you need any health care.

A new hip? Unheard of!

We simply can't afford to take care of you anymore.

You don't need any medications for your high blood pressure, diabetes, heart problems, etc.

Let's take care of the young people. After all, they will be ruling the world very soon.

So here is the solution:

When you turn 70, you get a gun and 4 bullets.....

You are allowed to shoot 2 Federal M.P.’s and 2 BC MLA’s of your choice.
Of course, you will be sent to prison where you will get 3 meals a day, a roof over your head and all the health care you need!

New teeth? Absolutely!

Need glasses? No problem!

New hip, knee, kidney, heart? Well, bring it on!

And who will be paying for all of this?

The same governments that just told you that you are too old for health care!

And, since you are a prisoner, you don't have to pay any income tax…
