Clarity

So...
I got this really kewl toilet that allows one to put a potty in below sewer grade...
It's got a box that sits behind the lew... and when liquid in the bowl hits a certain level.. this pump comes on and shoots everything up 4 feet and out the drain...

Worked like a damn....
except...
in the middle of the night when your still mostly asleep... and your sitting there waiting for your body to do it's thing..
and all of a sudden that pump thing will come on in the dark...

gar...
it's a startle I don't need..

so now I brace myself ..
waiting...

Well.. it's started making this extra noise now...
a loud whop whop noise...
It can't be good..

So now... I gotta deal with my new toilet .
Don't ask me how it's gonna work to take that box off the back... as it's directly connected to the icky part...

methinks it's plumber time..
I'll let him deal with the icky......

I am perplexed...
Whats it mean below sewer grade? Like is this set in a cabin or the house?

Then it shoots up 4 feet?

Up where? Youhoo watch out ceiling!

Then waiting in the dark for it to come on.... That will work great for constipation!

So.. I'm painting the basement today.
After 20 years of looking at drywall..

I got the multiple layers of paint stripped off the concrete floor and it's ready to stain and varnish after the walls and roof are painted...

Then.. it's my 42 inch big screen FINALLY going on the wall..

I've been living without my upflush lew for a few long days now..
I had buried the john under construction material as I was short of space...
and it took me a full day to clear that out so that we could get to the macerating pump in the back of it....

I asked my handy dude Storm'n to take a look at it as he's the one that installed it...

A couple of hours later he comes upstairs where I was working and he's holding this severly beaten and sliced hard rubber ball.

He's like... "Is this your ball..?"
And I'm like.. "nope. I don't have a ball."
So he's like.. "is this Ceri the dog's ball..??"
And I say "yup.. I think it is.":
And he says "Well.. that's what I found in the toilet."




My thousand dollar upflush almost taken out by a dollar store hard rubber ball...

I have to laff!

I have my new 42 inch plasma in my new old basement living room.... .. finally....
This moment has been so long in coming... I just had to sit and wonder at the fact that I'd finally rounded the last bend on finishing the basement..
I probably jumped the gun a bit on the TV as I don't have all the trim up.. lol... but hells bells.. what's a few sticks of wood..
