Cal knows, I don't. She is busy but no doubt will get around to it when time permits.

Hey Sangeet...

I went around and registered with a bunch of search engines. Just do a search on "register with search engine" and start imputing your url into the big old web.

Then you need to generate traffic on your forum and try to get your website url into as many other places on teh web as possible so that a search engine will seek out the url and that should start the spiders working on your forum.

Good luck.

What is the url of your forum Sangeet..?

Usually there is a support forum to help with ironing out the issues for forum developers. Which forum format are you using..?

This is the url to the support forum for our Forumotion forums.
Any technical questions can be answered and fixed there.

http://help.forumotion.com/

Sometimes it's an issue with formating and only the techs can fix that.

I never submitted a sitemap on the search engines.

What I did was register on some big forums and put the url of my forum in my signature so that the bots on their forum would register the url of my forum. As well.. we link to all kinds of stuff on Clarity here... so we get scanned on a regular basis from that as well.

It just takes time and effort Sangeet.

Start posting regularily on your forum and invite as many people as you can find to join and post on your forum. Put the links of other forums and blogs on your portal page, and link to lots of news sources and other web sites on your forum as often as you can.
