tried and true recipes
I thought we had a thread like this already. We don't, so I'll start. First up, an wasy one.
Ice
1/2 cup water
1 blue plastic ice tray
freezer
carefully fill a blue plastic ice tray with about 1/2 cup of water, or until little cavities are full.
place ice tray in freezer for about one hour, until water is solid.
Serve in a glass with some liquid poured over. Delicious with pop, iced tea, wine spritzers or even plain water.

Thats a lot of work. Buy a bottle of wine at our local beer/wine store and you get a free bag of that suff. Drop it into a glass of wine and zero calories are added.

Re: tried and true recipes
Why waste time making both dinner AND dessert, when you can combine the two into one delicious meal?
Banana Split French Toast
Mix egg and milk as always, adding vanilla extract - or rum, if desired.
In a separate bowl, mash up a banana or 2, add a little sugar and cinnamon and stir well.
Spread banana mix on slices of bread, place a 2nd piece of bread on top (like a sandwich), and dip in egg mixture. Fry as usual.
When done, pour on some maple syrup, add a scoop of ice cream, drizzle with chocolate sypup and toss on some sliced fresh strawberries.
I added blueberries to the banana mix as well as the strawberries on top.
Very filling and wonderfully delicious.

Okey dokey.
Now to plant the cabbage seeds in the garden. Nothing but the freshest stuff will do.
Maybe we can sip the vino while waiting?
